CM record for Javi Villa in another positive test with the BRC B49.
Alisas 13rd July: Javi Villa remains unbeaten at the wheel of the BRC B49 after winning and setting a new record in the CM category on Saturday 13rd July at the Alisas Hillclimb, a round of the Cantabrian Championship entered with the Bango Racing Cars team in order to keep working on the setup of the new model from the Asturian constructor.

The Cantabrian event, with a 7.2 kms route with a very fast initial part, where Villa's BRC went over 200 km/h, and finishing with a more twisty and technical section, all on a wide road with smooth asphalt and this was the ideal scenario to test further developments on the B49. Additionally Javi was the man to beat among the CM drivers, scoring the best time in the two practice climbs held in the morning and improving his times even more in the two timed climbs of the afternoon, where he beat the previous category record by a big margin.

All in all a very positive day for the driver and team giving them more data about the behaviour of the BRC B49 with the target being even more competitive in the second half of the season in the Spanish Hillclimb Championship, where Villa leads following his commanding win at Santo Emiliano.

Javi Villa's own words: "It has been a good day, we've been able to work a lot on the different things we were carrying, testing everything on the road. We improved the car a lot, setting good times and beating the CM record for this hillclimb. Doing it with old tyres gives us a good reference point to keep carrying on with the development of the BRC B49 ahead of the second half of the Spanish Championship which is our main target."
