Javi Villa completes his Santo Emiliano domination with yet another win.
Langreo 23nd June. Javi Villa remains unbeaten in the 2013 Spanish Hillclimb Championship after scoring today, at Santo Emiliano, his third win of the weekend, the ninth out of nine races entered so far since the season started at Ubrique.

Exactly as happened in yesterday's four climbs, Villa was again the fastest in the two runs on Sunday morning, one practice and one race, and even if the times were slower than last year, when Javi set the category record, the Spaniard has improved, in Race 3, his previous day's result.

On the last climb Villa was again the only CM driver to set a time under 2:20, getting down to 2:19.499. A very good mark that gave him the overall win and also, for the second year in a row, the top trophy awarded by the Santo Emiliano organizers, the 'Memorial Pepin Llaneza', given to the Spanish Championship driver who scores the best time of the weekend.

The ninth consecutive win of the season for Javi Villa in the Spanish Hillclimb Championship places the driver of the BRC B49 at the top of the series standings despite not having entered one of the four rounds already completed, the Falperra hillclimb, because of a date clash with the European NASCAR race weekend at Brands Hatch. However the new rules for this year allow Javi to discard the three 'zeros' from Portugal, so with his triple Santo Emiliano win he definitely becomes the main contender for the national championship.

Javi Villa's own words: "Today has been even better than yesterday, especially at an emotional level. The times were a bit better, we did a 19.4, almost half a second faster despite tyres that had already done three climbs. I had a better feeling with the car thanks to the work done but there is still more to do. We are struggling a bit to get the car comfortable and easy to drive, something that's actually normal with a new car. Sometimes it looks like we are going in the right direction while it's more difficult at other times. It would be great if we could do some more testing before the next national series round but, anyway, after this weekend we are already leading and we can discard the three 'zeros' from not racing at Falperra so I think that we are starting to gain an advantage that we have to make use of."
