Positive feelings for Javi Villa on his return to Brand Hatch.
Brands Hatch, 7th June 2013: The two free practice sessions have left Javi Villa with a good feeling on his return to the British circuit of Brands Hatch, where this weekend the third round of the EuroRaceCar, the European NASCAR series, takes place.

The main target for Villa and his team was today to work on the car, checking that everythign was OK and starting to test different setup changes ahead of tomorrow's qualifying and first race. From this point of view the outcome has been very positive as it has been possible to carry out the entire work program, leaving Javi feeling very comfortable at the wheel of the Scorpus Racing car, to the point where he even improved his last year's qualifying times on a track where he won for the first time in the European NASCAR.

Today's free practice, without any official laptimes and with most teams and drivers not showing their hand and not testing with the same configurations doesn't allow the team to draw too many conclusions as to where Javi is in relation to his rivals. It will be tomorrow morning, in qualifying, when everything will become clear regarding everyone's chances, but Javi is, right now, optimistic about being able to repeat his succesful participation in last year's race at Brands Hatch.

Saturday June 8th
09:30 – 09:45 Qualifying
12:30 – 12:55 Race 1
Sunday June 9th
12:45 – 13:10 Race 2

Javier Villa: "Today has been a work day, we were able to test different things and start to get prepare for tomorrow. I think that we were running quite comfortably, going under last year's qualifying laptimes. I supposse that is very likely that the 2012 times will be improved on but today gives us a good reference point. We didn't have overall times so we can't compare a lot with our rivals but the feeling has been good and tomorrow we'll go out there and fight for a good result."
